Imagine that for a moment.
The Vision
Transforming a world tour into a physical reality that merged human emotion with advanced technology. The vision moved beyond a standard stage show to create a transformative, multi-layered narrative.
We aimed to build a sensory environment that mirrored the band's sonic energy and lyrical storytelling. Our studio used a flower ‘daisy’ as an overarching visual concept to branch out stories spanning from dystopian futures to celebratory visuals. We focused on the pillar of Music to define an aesthetic that delivered a message of peace and love.
The Creation
We developed a bespoke visual identity for the tour, producing over 20 unique loops and immersive content pieces. Our team used Unreal Engine and 3D graphics to build detailed models and cinematic sequences. We pioneered a workflow using TouchDesigner and generative AI live feeds to create real-time reactive visuals that adapted to the band's performance. To enhance the physical atmosphere, we integrated real-time ripple shaders synchronised with the lighting beams and moving heads.
Our visuals were part of an incredible journey across the UK tour, including a landmark show at The O2 London. Over 120,000 fans saw the work during the initial arena run, and we reached more than half a million people at festivals like Glastonbury and Rock in Rio. Every frame was built to be jagged and energetic, avoiding a polished look to maintain a hand-crafted feel. This work was a massive exercise in adaptability, as we scaled the visuals from intimate moments to the vast stages of global festivals.
The Moment
The moment the lights hit the stage, the physical reality took over as 3D mapping and LED installations merged with the sound. People were met with a wall of light and movement that complemented the music's themes of peace and love.
We helped shape the atmosphere of each performance, creating a unique, unpredictable experience that changed with every show. These moments stayed with the audience long after the shows ended, leaving a lasting influence on those who attended. This work was Rapt at its most feral and innovative, using technology to engage the senses and build a deep connection between the band and the crowd.
