Imagine that for a moment.

The Vision

For Patrick Topping’s performance at Creamfields, Rapt delivered a high-octane visual environment that turned the stage into a living extension of the music.

The vision for this project was to move beyond standard live visuals by creating a deep, time-coded connection between sound and light. We aimed to transform the festival set into a multi-sensory experience where the audience felt every beat as a physical reality. By pushing the boundaries of live VJ-ing, we wanted to ensure that the visual narrative evolved in perfect synchronisation with Patrick Topping’s track ‘Make Me Happy’, elevating the energy of the crowd to a visceral level.

The Creation

The studio produced full content design including bespoke motion graphics and lighting choreography. Every visual element was time-coded to perfectly synchronise with the audio stems of the performance, ensuring a jagged, high-contrast aesthetic that mirrored the track's momentum.

We developed rapid shifts in colour and intensity, coordinating massive LED arrays and lighting rigs to act as a singular, cohesive organism. This project required intense adaptability to work within the scale of a major festival stage, ensuring the work was effective from every angle of the arena.

The Moment

The moment the track 'Make Me Happy' dropped, the physical reality of the stage exploded into a synchronised surge of light and motion. People were met with a wall of visuals that pulsed in perfect rhythm with the bass, creating an overwhelming sensory environment.

The audience became part of a collective peak where the technology disappeared and only the energy of the moment remained. These moments of high-tension and release stayed with the crowd long after the set ended, marking a landmark performance in the festival’s history.

Our team of artists, technologists, designers, and storytellers has built glowing domes in deserts and lit up stages around the world. Yet we still work like we did on day one: curious, experimental, slightly unrestrained. We believe in serious play and creative experiments that leave a mark. If it’s forgettable, it’s not for us (and neither is it for you).
